{recipe} Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino Knockoff



     If you are anything like me, you love your Starbucks fix.  I'm on the *fairly* clean eating train, where I am avoiding wheat and sugar, and eating more veggies.  But frozen coffee is my weakness.

    My Starbucks card reached Gold status about three months after getting the rewards card for the first time, and don't get me wrong, I still turn into that drive through when I'm having a day out on the town, but sometimes you just can't justify the $5+ dollars it costs to indulge in that delicious goodness, even if you are close to getting that next star reward.  That's why I came up with a less expensive way to have a frozen coffee here and there without breaking the bank.



   One thing about a lot of knock off recipes I have found,  is that they require espresso.  Which is awesome, but not everyone has an espresso maker, including moi.  So this recipe just uses regular cold coffee.

   Ingredients:

10-12 ice cubes
1/2 cup of cold strong coffee
1/4 cup light cream
3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
Dash of vanilla extract
Squirt of chocolate syrup

      Add all ingredients to your blender.  Blend on high/ice crush for about 15 seconds.  Pour into glass, and top with some homemade whipped cream and chocolate syrup if desired.  You can experiment with how much chocolate syrup you want, or use a different flavor syrup altogether.  I use Hersheys "Simply 5" syrup, it has basic ingredients and no high fructose corn syrup.  I try and use healthy ingredients, but honestly who am I kidding, this wouldn't be a guilty pleasure if it was 100% good for me.
